PANews reported on December 17 that according to Nobsbitcoin, a memorandum filed on December 11 postponed the next pre-trial hearing of the cryptocurrency mixing service Samourai Wallet from December 17 to March 12, 2025, a 90-day extension. The trial date has been set for November 3, 2025.

Since the last pre-trial conference in the U.S. court on September 17, 2024, the government submitted the third and fourth batches of evidentiary materials on September 23 and October 21, 2024, respectively. Despite the encryption issues, the government copied the first and second batches of evidence and provided them to the developer Keonne Rodriguez on November 6, 2024. The fifth batch of evidence, which contains data obtained from the seized devices, is expected to be submitted within seven days.

The memo shows that the FBI team is reviewing a total of 45 devices seized from developers Keonne Rodriguez and William Lonergan Hill for confidential material, and plans to release the remaining data by early 2025. So far, 17 terabytes of data (more than half of the total) have been shared, and more data will be released before the trial. At a recent hearing, Samourai Wallet's defense compared the amount of evidence material to "75% of the Library of Congress" and printed on a paper thick enough to travel to the moon and back 22 times.

Earlier in April, it was reported that the co-founder of the cryptocurrency mixing service SamouraiWallet was arrested and charged with money laundering .
