PANews reported on April 10 that on April 9 local time, the U.S. Open Artificial Intelligence Research Center (OpenAI) filed a counterclaim against Musk, accusing Musk of harassment and asking a federal judge to prevent Musk from taking any further illegal and unfair actions against OpenAI, including attacks and malicious propaganda through the media. Previously, Musk filed a lawsuit against OpenAI and its CEO Sam Altman, accusing OpenAI of initially inviting Musk to fund a non-profit AI research organization dedicated to benefiting humanity, but now focusing on profit. OpenAI emphasized that it is still committed to building the world's most capable non-profit organization, and disclosed that Musk had wanted to merge OpenAI into Tesla and turn it into a for-profit organization, but withdrew after failing.
