PANews reported on December 31 that when Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin asked about the ideal attributes of a long-term network national node, user @millie-x proposed the establishment of an independent legal system and judicial system. She believes that this can improve residents' lives in the following ways: first, through an independent tax system, efficient use of tax revenue for public life improvements; second, get rid of the "legacy" problems of traditional laws and formulate policies that are more in line with the needs of modern society; finally, through the selection and combination of the best laws worldwide to achieve legal experiments and break through the limitations of the traditional system. She further pointed out that the core of the latter two points is to break through the old framework and promote innovative practices.
Meanwhile, user @grin suggested that an ideal long-term network node should have a child-friendly environment, including safe communities, families with children of the same age, an atmosphere consistent with family values, quality education (such as cooperative or alternative education), and social support for parents. He also emphasized that the environment should be safe enough for children to move freely without adult supervision and minimize traffic risks.
Vitalik added that to ensure child-friendliness, nodes need to meet a certain minimum population size. For example, to have 10 children in one age group, the total population of the node must be at least 200. He is concerned that if there are not enough children, it may hinder other families from joining, thus falling into a vicious cycle of "zero children". To address this problem, he suggested that node operators can hire full-time teachers, and even if the number of children is less than 5, they can provide high-quality education through shared teachers, similar to the private tutoring model.
