According to the 2024 Security Annual Report released by OKLink on January 8, security incidents on the entire network chain have caused a total loss of approximately US$1.945 billion, of which the loss caused by private key leakage was US$305 million, a year-on-year decrease of 65.45%, accounting for 16% of the total loss. Phishing scams caused the largest loss, reaching US$705 million, accounting for 36%; the REKT incident and the RugPull incident caused losses of US$383 million and US$141 million respectively. Mainstream public chains are still the focus of hacker attacks, with losses of BTC, ETH, and ARB public chains of US$744 million, US$902 million, and US$228 million respectively.
OKLink has assisted in handling more than 300 cases through technical support, involving US$685 million in funds, and provided on-chain tools such as address monitoring and token authorization query to help users manage asset authorization and identify suspicious transactions, effectively improving the level of on-chain security protection.
