PANews reported on February 11 that according to CoinDesk, NFT platform OpenSea denied reports that users claimed that they had to complete detailed identity verification or KYC verification if they wanted potential airdrop rewards. OpenSea CEO Devin Finzer wrote on the X platform in response to a post that mentioned the terms of service on the OpenSea Foundation website: "This is all completely false information." The terms of service also mentioned that users will not be able to use VPNs and that US users will not be able to claim airdrop rewards. Finzer said that the page contained "standard jargon" and "only existed for a short time on the test website."
Since OpenSea registered an entity called OpenSea Foundation in the Cayman Islands last December, and the registration time was close to the release time of the new version of the platform "OS2", speculation about the possibility of OpenSea airdrops has been endless. Adam Hollander, a user of the X platform, revealed that he had communicated with the person in charge of OpenSea and said: "When the OpenSea Foundation officially releases the announcement, our friends in the United States will be satisfied." This statement seems to imply that the distribution of airdrop rewards is a foregone conclusion.
