PANews reported on January 9 that according to Jinshi, the outgoing chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Gary Gensler, said in an interview with Bloomberg TV that he was proud of the work done by the agency and said that less than two weeks before his departure, there was still "work to be done." Gensler reiterated his claim that the encryption field is "full of bad actors." When asked about some of the cases filed by the SEC against cryptocurrencies during his tenure and whether this led to changes in its behavior, Gensler said that the agency's work was based on the work done by other former chairmen and that there was still a lot of work to be done.
