PANews reported on May 18 that Nick Tomaino, founder of 1confirmation, posted on the X platform that the largest conference of the Ethereum community, Devcon, has been held for 9 years, but has never been held in the United States. Last year it was held in Bangkok, Thailand, and this year it was held in Buenos Aires, Argentina. For the Ethereum Foundation, the 2026 Devcon conference should be held in the United States because the United States is still where most investors and the most influential Ethereum companies and developers gather.
