Thailand and the FBI work together to recover $432,000 in crypto assets; Eastern European hackers arrested in Phuket.

PANews reported on November 13th that, according to Decrypt , Thai cyber police, in cooperation with the FBI , recovered and returned approximately 432,000 USDT and some BTC in " Operation 293. " The suspect is an Eastern European hacker hiding in Phuket. Police stated that he stole victims' authentication keys and mnemonic phrases using malware, converted the funds into USDT and BTC , and distributed them to multiple wallets. The investigation, in collaboration with Tether , froze the USDT and tracked the contract with the Bangkok-based exchange Bitkub , ultimately transferring 432,000 USDT to a CCIB escrow wallet and returning it to two victims; six victims have been identified, with a total loss of approximately 3.2 million Thai baht . The suspect is linked to several recent cryptocurrency scams in Thailand.
