PANews reported on October 1 that in response to the theft of BNB Chain's official Twitter account, Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) posted that after the hacker sold the Meme token he created with a profit of about US$4,000, the community actively intervened and repurchased the token at a higher price.

Previously, the official BNB Chain account (@BNBCHAIN) was hacked and a phishing link was posted. BNB Chain stated that the incident caused users to suffer losses totaling approximately $8,000, and the team pledged to fully compensate the victims. The team has now restored full access to the account and is investigating the root cause of the incident.
