PANews reported on May 11 that OpenAI announced the establishment of its OpenAI Deployment Company ( DeployCo ) to help enterprises deploy AI systems in their mission-critical operations . It also agreed to acquire Tomoro, an applied AI consulting and engineering company , bringing in approximately 150 forward-deployed engineers and deployment specialists . DeployCo has partnered with 19 global investment institutions and consulting firms, including TPG , Advent , Bain Capital , Brookfield , Goldman Sachs , and SoftBank Corp., and has secured over $4 billion in initial funding to expand operations and acquire related companies. DeployCo will deploy engineers within enterprises to diagnose, refactor, and integrate key processes, connecting OpenAI models with enterprise data, tools, and business processes to drive the large-scale application and transformation of AI across various industries.
OpenAI established DeployCo as a deployment company and acquired Tomoro, securing $4 billion in seed funding.
