Syndicate: Compensation for the bridging attack incident has been completed, and an additional 15% compensation has been issued.

PANews reported on May 11 that Syndicate announced on its X platform that compensation for its bridging security incident has been completed. All affected SYND holders on the Commons Chain have received full compensation, plus an additional 15% of the total loss. The compensation has been sent directly to the affected wallets (Base Chain), and the gas fees have been covered by Syndicate Labs; no action is required from the users. The total compensation amount is approximately 12.9 million SYND.

In addition, Syndicate Labs has burned an equivalent amount of SYND from its treasury (i.e., the total compensation) to offset the long-term impact on circulating supply. Syndicate Labs chose not to compensate its own affected holdings, thereby reducing the compensation requirement by approximately 5.5 million SYND. All affected SYND holders received more tokens after this event than they previously held, as the total supply did not increase due to the burn operation.

Previously, on May 1, Syndicate stated that a private key leak led to a malicious upgrade of the bridge contract on two chains, resulting in the theft of approximately 18.5 million SYND tokens (approximately $330,000) and approximately $50,000 worth of customer tokens .
