PANews reported on April 15 that according to Decrypt, the two Estonian founders of the bankrupt crypto mining company HashFlare, Sergei Potapenko and Ivan Turõgin, said that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) ordered them to leave the country "immediately" or face law enforcement action, which contradicted the court's order to stay in King County, Washington. The lawyer said that DHS sent the same email to the two on April 6 and April 11, respectively, and the prosecutor is currently trying to coordinate with DHS to extend their stay permits in the United States. The two had previously pleaded guilty and agreed to confiscate $400 million in assets, and the sentencing was scheduled for August 14.
