PANews reported on April 18 that according to Crypto in America, MoonPay CEO Ivan Soto-Wright wrote a letter to the U.S. Congress today, supporting the U.S. Association of State Bank Supervisors (CSBS)'s amendment proposal on equal regulatory power between state and federal stablecoin issuers in the GENIUS Act and the STABLE Act. He emphasized that the current provisions of the current bill are overly biased towards the federal path and may weaken the competitiveness of state-licensed issuers. He called on Congress to amend the law to maintain competition, fairness and consumer protection.
