PANews reported on January 13 that JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon criticized Bitcoin again in an interview with CBS News on Sunday, saying that it has "no intrinsic value" and is often used for illegal activities such as sex trafficking, money laundering and ransomware. He compared Bitcoin to smoking, saying: "People have the right to buy and use Bitcoin, just like they have the right to smoke, but that doesn't mean it's a good idea."

Despite his criticism of Bitcoin, Dimon has a positive view on blockchain technology. He recognizes its practical applications and mentioned JPMorgan Chase's exploration of blockchain projects, including JPM Coin.

In addition, Dimon also talked about Trump's election as president, believing that voters want to see more growth-oriented and pro-business policies and remain "cautiously pessimistic" about the current economic situation. He pointed out that despite low unemployment, controllable inflation and strong stock market performance, we still need to be vigilant about potential risks.
