PANews reported on March 31 that according to official news, the Fetch.ai mainnet is expected to undergo a planned upgrade at approximately 21:00 Beijing time on April 1, 2025, pending the approval of governance proposal #35. This maintenance-focused release prioritizes security and operational efficiency to ensure minimal disruption to network participants. The scope of the network upgrade, combined with the existing governance module of cosmos-sdk, ensures that only those users who have delegated FET on the Fetch.ai mainnet can vote. Holders who choose to hold or stake on Ethereum, BSC, or Cardano are not affected.
The network will automatically halt at block height 21,267,067, with an estimated downtime of one hour. Validators must strictly follow the upgrade instructions provided to ensure a smooth upgrade process. Timely participation by validators in all active sets will greatly assist in the prompt restoration of service. After the upgrade, the network will resume normal operations with no changes to the API or chain state.
