PANews reported on December 9 that Bitcoin L2 project MAP Protocol announced the launch of the MAPO repurchase and destruction proposal, aiming to enhance the long-term value of MAPO tokens and build a sustainable ecosystem. According to the proposal, part of the protocol's revenue (such as transaction fees) will be used to repurchase MAPO tokens, and the repurchased tokens will be permanently destroyed to reduce supply and increase scarcity.
The specific repurchase and destruction ratio will be determined by community governance, and all transactions will be publicly recorded on the chain to ensure transparency. The proposal also encourages the community to participate in voting and reminds that the plan may be adjusted or suspended due to factors such as market conditions or protocol revenue. The proposal is now online, and community members can share their opinions and vote on the MAP forum.
