PANews reported on January 13 that Fidelity Digital Assets stated in its 2025 Outlook report that Ethereum is superior to Solana in the long run due to fundamental factors such as developer activity, total locked value (TVL) and stablecoin supply, but Solana has an advantage in the short term due to its rapidly growing transaction speed and low cost.

The report points out that Solana's revenue and TVL are growing faster, but its reliance on memecoin transactions is strong in bull markets and may weaken in bear markets. In contrast, Ethereum's fundamentals are less dependent on speculation and have stronger long-term stability. Solana plans to significantly increase transaction speed through the Firedancer upgrade, while Ethereum's Pectra upgrade focuses on functionality, scalability, and user security, but has less direct impact on ETH's investment value.

Fidelity is also optimistic about Bitcoin, believing that more countries and institutions may include Bitcoin in their asset allocation in 2025, and predicts that stablecoins and tokenized assets will continue to grow, and the DeFi field will usher in new innovations. Fidelity emphasized that it is "not too late" to enter the crypto market.
