PANews reported on December 11 that according to Cryptonews, Brazilian asset management company Hashdex appointed former BlackRock executive Mick McLaughlin as head of U.S. distribution to expand its digital asset layout in the U.S. market. McLaughlin will be responsible for promoting the distribution and growth of Hashdex's cryptocurrency exchange-traded fund (ETF) products, while strengthening the U.S. sales team.

Hashdex received approval from the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) to launch a second Solana ETF earlier this year and filed an S-1 application in the United States for a spot ETF tracking multiple digital assets.
