PANews reported on December 14 that according to Asset Servicing Times, Emirates NBD has invested in Zodia Custody, a crypto custody company under Standard Chartered Bank, through its Innovation Fund (the bank's corporate venture fund). The investment marks the company's ambition to expand its crypto and digital asset products in the region. By investing in Zodia Custody, the bank aims to bridge the gap between traditional financial services and institutional digital assets in the UAE. Marwan Hadi, head of retail banking and wealth management group at Emirates NBD, commented: "Given the UAE's progressive attitude towards digital asset regulation and its ambition to become a global innovation and technology center, our investment is significant."
