PANews reported on March 18 that according to the official announcement, the Web3 blockchain game Champions Ascension announced that its servers will be temporarily shut down as the development team shifts its focus to REACH Labs. The closure includes the Champions Ascension server and related functions such as Imperial Expeditions and Dudo, and took effect last Friday.

The announcement stated that the technology developed for REACH Labs is expected to play a key role in shaping the future of Champions Ascension, although a specific timeline for its return has not yet been provided. Despite the temporary suspension of the game, the team has confirmed that KEYS rewards will still be issued. According to reports, REACH Labs is a new web3 game publisher established in collaboration between Rough House Games (creator of Champions Ascension) and Overworld. REACH's goal is to enhance game distribution by integrating blockchain technology and community participation.

Earlier in 2023, it was reported that Champions Ascension completed a $32 million seed round of financing, led by a16z Games and a16z Crypto.
