PANews reported on October 23 that the Vietnamese government announced the National Blockchain Development Strategy through its official website on October 22, aiming to make Vietnam a leading regional blockchain technology research, application and innovation center by 2030. The main goals of the strategy include building 20 leading blockchain companies, establishing testing centers in major cities, and making Vietnamese institutions among the top ten in Asia in the field of blockchain research. The plan also focuses on improving the legal framework, infrastructure construction and international cooperation. The Vietnam Blockchain Association (VBA) will assist in the development of platforms to provide legal framework support for digital assets and help the government achieve broader digital economy goals, including being removed from the gray list of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) by 2025.
