PANews reported on December 13 that according to Fox News, OpenAI founder and CEO Sam Altman will join the list of American technology giants who donated to President-elect Trump's inaugural fund. "Trump will lead our country into the era of artificial intelligence, and I am eager to support his efforts to ensure that the United States remains at the forefront," Altman said in a written statement. According to reports, Altman plans to donate $1 million to the Presidential Inaugural Committee in his personal name, rather than directly from OpenAI.
Previously, Zuckerberg and Bezos both announced donations of $1 million to the presidential inauguration fund, reportedly in an effort to ease relations with the incoming president.
